"That Thing We Do"
The 3 pointer wins the game and the crowd goes bonkers and raise both hands and begin a victory chant. The band takes the stage and the audience rises to their feet in anticipation. The line wraps around the Best Buy store late Thanksgiving evening, each person willing themselves to wait as long as they have to, no matter how cold it gets, just so they can purchase at a deep discount the biggest TV known to man. These are nothing more than our energetic and emotional responses to something we love. We all are passionate about something. It's that thing we do.
But in reality, what, and more importantly, who we respond to varies. Truth is the object of our reaction is probably the very thing that determines the outcome of our lives.
In our new series, "Worship: That Thing We Do", we will talk about how we respond to the things and people that we love. We will discover that when we respond passionately to the one true God, everything in life takes on new meaning.
